About me
My name is Laura, and I am a trainee psychotherapist registered with UKCP. I am in the final year of an MSc in Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute, and over the past five years of training, I have accumulated over 350 hours of supervised clinical practice. Working primarily within the charity sector and a local hospice, my clients come from a diverse range of cultural, religious, and professional backgrounds.
My interest in mental health began during my late teenage years, although it was only after many life experiences that I decided to pursue a career in this field, which I am truly passionate about. Prior to training I had a 20-year career as a chartered surveyor, balancing work with the demands of raising a family. Life has presented its challenges, but these experiences have deepened my capacity for empathy and understanding, enabling me to connect with clients as they navigate complexities of modern life. I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward mental well-being.
